Our Story

My name is Cassandra (Cassie) Udovich and I created Heart Matters Studio in 2016 with the support of loving family and friends. I got hooked on clay in 2006 at Lake Superior College when Dorian Beaulieu & Jacob Haydon took me in as the art studio work study. I walked into that studio hoping to make a dish-set and left with a life-long passion for mudslinging. After graduating from Lake Superior College I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth & Twin Cities campus’ and I focused on Elementary Art Education & Studio Arts. I’ve been fortunate to meet many creative artists, teachers and entrepreneurs throughout my art career and I’d like to share those experiences with you. I thrive with my curiosity of what’s next & I’m thrilled to continue teaching in my community while sharing artwork. My partner & son contribute their own art, ideas and to bring Heart Matters Studio into the community.

What is an art event?

An Art Event is similar to a concert-- each experience is exclusive, and no two events are completely alike. Heart Matters Studio is designed for beginners with no experience necessary. Everyone is encouraged to focus on creating memories and the artwork will follow. Step by step instructions will guide you through the experience. In some instances— participants will have open studio with 1:1 support from the instructor. With a variety of events offered my goal is to support your creative vision.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide guided instruction through multiple mediums of art. It is our goal to create a positive atmosphere where memories are made in a fun and supportive environment. It is our mission to teach locally, and offer instruction through our traveling studio.
